When 9-year-old Aevi learned that he was going to have a little brother, he decided to write a book for his baby sibling that explained how kids explore the world. The result is a fantastic guidebook of what children go through in the first 10 years of their lives, sorted out in four critical topics per year and beautifully illustrated by the author. In this quintessential children's book written by a kid as a loving gift to another kid, readers will learn many important things about life in this strange world of ours, including how to distinguish dream and reality, what makes parents' rules unfair, why friends are important, how to deal with complicated things, and which elementary school grade is the hardest of them all.

WORKS ON PROGRESS

is a series of conceptual books created by children

in which the author’s own pedagogical process of articulating the world/word(s)

informs the narrative and structure of the work.

Born on December 15, 2010, AEVI is a book writer of five books (including this one), who wants to be an interesting chef and actor. He is half American and half Japanese. He has been to many places in his life including Japan, America, Portugal, Spain, China, Mexico, Germany, Cyprus, Thailand, Bali, and many more. He really wants to go to Brazil and hopes to do that someday. Now he lives in Tokyo and goes to school almost every day. He will keep doing what he wants to.
